Get to know SUVAS

At South Utah Valley Animal Shelter, we proudly serve the animals and residents of southern Utah County including Elk Ridge, Mapleton, Payson, Provo, Salem, Santaquin, Spanish Fork, Springville, and Woodland Hills. Our primary goal is to reunite lost pets with their families. For animals that are not reclaimed, we work tirelessly to place them in caring, permanent homes through our adoption program and by collaborating with trusted local rescue groups. Every animal deserves compassion, and we're here to give them that.

Longest Residence

These are the animals that have been with us the longest.

Erin Swan

"I walk dogs here on a weekly basis. The staff are friendly and doing the best they can for the animals that have been failed by other people. While it's sad to see the number of dogs in these kennels, the staff clearly knows each of them and their personalities. From the front desk workers to the kennel cleaners, I've seen all the staff interact with and love these animals. They also have started to recognize me when I come in, and greet me with a smile when they hand over the leash. I wish more people would come help!"
